1 penning, Magnus Eriksson,
The Lödöse mint in Västergötland struck coins from the mid-12th century. The last coins produced there were King Magnus Eriksson’s pennings with a radial ring, dating back to around 1354 to 1363. These bore the initial L to show that they came from Lödöse.
At the mint, the waste from local leather production was used as a base when minting bracteates. Only one die was required as bracteates were one-sided coins.
